Paul Curtis - Is regarded as one of Australia’s
foremost flautists and teachers. From 1965 until 1983 he was Principle
Flute with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and appeared as a concert
soloist on numerous occasions. Being the 1964 Commonwealth winner of
the ABC Concerto and Vocal Competition gave Paul his national debut as

as soloist and recording artist throughout Australia and the United
Kingdom and America. Recent years have seen Paul become renowned for
his performance of late 19th century music. A growing interest in this
neglected genre of music is already drawing Paul to perform it
internationally as well as in Australia. Until recently, Paul was
Lecturer in flute at the University of Newcastle conservatorium of
Music.
