Lilija Sile - is a classical singer who has performed lead roles in opera and musical theatre, and sung solo concert performances, in eight countries, in 10 languages. Prior to coming to Australia, Lilija was principal soprano in Latvian National Opera, in capital city of Latvija-RIGA.. In Australia, Lilija has performed in most cities and still sings in the concerts and makes radio broadcasts and recordings. Lilija holds two degrees in music: first in the teaching of singing, second in opera and concert singing. These degrees are recognized in Australia and Lilija is an accredited music teacher with more than 10 years of teaching experience. Lilija is a member of ANATS (Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing) and a full Member of the Music Teacher’s Association of NSW. Students range from beginner to professional, from children to advanced age persons, and singing styles range from ‘pop’ to opera.
Michaele Archer - A graduate from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Michaele has been a regular festival performer throughout Australia, including Victoria’s ‘Festival of the Southern Ocean’. Highlights have included recitals with renowned classical guitarist Slava Gregoryan, and principle role in an outdoor spectacular, ‘The Gravel Pit Opera’. Most recently, Michaele appeared in ‘Songs of the Sea’, a show she co-created with New York based Australian composer Padma Newsome, and HipHopera a collaboration with Melbourne HipHop Artist, Elf Tranzporter. Michaele has also worked with Opera Australia, Australian Theatre for Young People, Sydney Opera duo, ‘The Martinis’, and is currently recording a CD of opera classics and also a CD of her own compositions for cello, piano and voice.
Judy Marshall-Schutte - Judy’s training and career span 3 continents, beginning with classical training and moving through various genres from rock to jazz to contemporary styles and everything in between. She studied Musical Theatre and various acting techniques and has performed in Opera, Operetta, Rock, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Film, Comedy, Drama, Theatresports and more recently in Playback Theatre as a member of the Sydney Playback Theatre Company. Judy has recorded 3 Rock albums in her native South Africa, 2 of which were released internationally to critical acclaim. Drawing from over 15 years as a performer/teacher Judy teaches all styles of singing, her main focus being Musical Theatre and contemporary styles, with an emphasis on performance, presentation and the acting side of singing.
Angela Brewer - Born, Australia. Graduated BMus. Performance, Honours (Dux), VCA, Melbourne University. Winner of The Mabel Kent and Murray Ormond Vagg Singing Scholarships. Continued training under scholarship at The National Academy of Music, Advanced Performance Program. Competitions: Semi-Finalist in The Australian Singing Competition, 1998. Runner-up in the Singer of the Year, 2001. Runner-up MTO, German Operatic Award, Wiesbaden, 2005; finalist in The Communale Award, Theatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Fondazione Italy, 2005.
