Jazz Guitar Ensemble

The ensemble comprises a group of electric guitarists + bass and percussion.

It provides the opportunity for students to further develop sightreading improvisation and ensemble and rhythm  section skills. Reading needs to be at least Grade 2 or 3 level up to fret 12, although students are not expected to  be perfect in sight reading skills at these levels. The opportunity to gain experience in performing is provided and  students are expected to take advantage of this important facet of learning. From time to time guest professional musicians also act as mentors.
