Little Big Band (LBB)

In existence since the late 90s, the current LBB is a great way to learn to play jazz, swing and Latin in a fun atmosphere. Directed by Guy Strazz, Head of Jazz Studies at the CCC Conservatorium, the LBB meets every Tuesday evening during School Terms from 7.40 pm until 8.40 pm in the "Demountable 2" of the Central Coast Conservatorium.

The repertoire includes arrangements of Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, Count Basie and Duke Ellington’s classics amongst other big band luminaries. It also features arrangements by Terrigal based Ed Wilson from the legendary (Oz) Daly Wilson Big Band. The arrangements are written in the style of a swing band and provide the opportunity for students to further develop their reading, ensemble and improvisation skills.

The LBB performs around the Central Coast at community events and is also available as a professional group for parties, festivals and corporate functions.

The Conservatorium LBB comprises
